"West Side Story" was presented by the WNHS Drama Department from February 27-March 1, 1986. Here we see the Sharks and Jets gathering around the big fight between Riff (played by Mark Erickson) and Bernardo (played by Todd Taylor). The winner? Shakespeare. [Click picture for a larger version.]

Opening on March 5, 1981 in the Westerville Performing Arts Center, the WNHS Drama Department presented the musical "Carnival". In this picture, the circus-bound runaway orphan girl Lili (played by Donna Morris) joins the puppets in a song of love. [Click picture for a larger version.]

(Circa 1983) The WNHS Drama Department presented the musical "Oklahoma!" on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Directed by Mr. Tim Brown, it was held at the Westerville Performing Arts Auditorium. In the picture above, Laurie (played by Kris Kovach) and Curly (played by Todd Strickland) ride off into the sunset in their "surrey with the fringe on top". [Click picture for a larger version.]

(Circa 1979) When was the last time you were THIS happy?! On May 4th, the Junior-Senior Prom ("The Times of Your Life") was held at the Hilton Inn in Worthington. Music was provided by the band, Starborne. In the picture above, the sibling of a chaperon clearly has the time of his life... perhaps inspiring the dance scene with Long Duk Dong in 'Sixteen Candles" five years later. On May 2nd, the Junior-Senior Prom ("Return to Paradise") was held at the Student Union on the campus of Ohio State University. Music was provided by the live band, Chalice.
