A picture from the fabled "Donut Wars of 1979"! For over three years, the clubs and organizations at North earned money by selling doughnuts during first and second periods. In February 1979, it was discovered that North's cafeteria had been instructed to compete with the clubs by selling doughnuts for 5 cents less. The Student Council went into action and organized a boycott of the cafeteria. The boycott WORKED and, after two days, the cafeteria stopped selling doughnuts... and all was well at North.
