At Hartnell University, we hold up and honor our Latin motto of: "ex multis barbam, barbam unum" (or "From many beards, one beard").

There are a lot of "false" beards out there. Trendy beards. Hipster beards. Seasonal beards. But only one beard has been around since the beginning.

And that beard has taken up residence upon the face of Dr. Hartnell.

It is this one true beard that we subscribe to. This beard shall guide us through the dark caves of ignorance. It shall educate us. It shall entertain us. It shall become us.

We are the beard.
