Since its inception, the football teams of Hartnell University have been a force to reckon with. Known for their bruising defense and lightning quick offense, the Battling Beards quickly came to dominate the Ohio Facial Hair Conference (OFHC). The winner of multiple OFHC championships and Beard Bowls, Hartnell University's football program is an example of "doing it right" - both on and off the field. Lead by the winningest coach in program and conference history, Alpheus Williams, the Battling Beards give it their all each and every season.
